Jack Appleby is our March SPARKS Learner of the Month winner- We caught up with him to find out what it means to win.

20-year-old Jack is currently a student at Nescot college studying towards his level 3 qualification alongside completing his apprenticeship with Theobald & Hodge Electrical, doing both domestic and commercial work.

When asked to describe the work he submitted for the award, Jack explained that it was a private job which he completed for his partner’s parents who wanted some outside lights that lit the driveway and also went well with the older theme they have with the beams.

Jack went on to say that it feels good to have won the award, highlighting that it’s great knowing that other people like his work. He plans on using his Wiska bundle in some of his upcoming jobs.

Finally, Jack let us know that he has a big passion for electrical work but particularly the commercial maintenance side of it. He hopes to one day successfully run his own company.

Congratulations Jack! Entries are now open for the April award, with a Megger MET100 on offer to the winner!

To enter, electrical students and apprentices must tag us in a photo of their work on social media and use #SPARKSLOTM. Our favourites (up to a maximum of eight) then go to a public vote at the end of the month before a winner is crowned. For full entry info, click here.
